A portion of the proceeds from the HOLA Festival are dedicated each year towards projects assisting a Latin American "home country". In 2018 HOLA sponsored a 5K Run to raise funds for Puerto Rico hurricane victims. In 2019 HOLA sponsored the build of a home for a family of 10 in Guatemala.
HOLA board and volunteers organize and support each year a number of events, such as: HOLA Rumba @ Mo's, 100 Men who Cook, Montessori's Day of the Dead, the Mayor's Diversity Supplier Awards, among others
HOLA is involved in many city and regional initiatives, providing the voice of the Latino community. HOLA Board Members have been in the steering committees of initiatives such as E is for Everyone and I-69
HOLA has partnered with Ivy Tech Community College, University of Evansville, University of Southern Indiana, Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana and EREP to develop a comprehensive leadership series with the outcome of: Providing participants with the leadership and advocacy skills to shape organizational culture
